Dvarapala Statues

Dvarapala site located west of Singosari temple site. Site ituberbentuk two dvarapala statues made of monolithic stone 3.70 m altitude. The existence of two dvarapala statues that show that that location in the past is the gate of the Singosari statue dvarapala functions, because in the past it as a symbol of the keeper of the door or gate.
Name withheld themselves from dvarapala Sanskrit meaning the doorman or guard the gate. Despite the existence of two arca dvarapala refers to door gerbangkerajaan possibility in the past, but until now has not been done reconstruction to know where is the location of the Palace of the Singosari exactly does to the West or East of the castle building sites because Dvarapala Singosari hitherto unknown location.

If we shove off from the teachings of the Saiva sects, especially with regard to the existence of two arca dvarapala or gatekeepers, then we can concluded that the two statues were actually located next-door dvarapala West Palace of Singosari. For dala teachings Saiva sects established that Siva resides Kailasa dipuncak depicted in the form of lingam.
At the gate to the East are the main custodians of the Ganesha or Ganapati. At the gate of the North are the main carers i.e. Bhattari Gori. At the gates of the South is the main custodian of the Rsi Agastya. Being on the West there are two gate keepers i.e. Kala and Amungkala. Thus two dvarapala statues that are regarded as guardians of the gates of Singosari can be summed up as a depiction of the west gate keeper of Siva namely Kala and Amungkala, in which case the conclusion is true then the layout of the Palace of the Singosari is on the East of the two statues.

In passing the statue appears to be equal second so arguably as twin giants. Just an attitude different from both hands. Dvarapala statues that are diseltan, the left hand is above the left knee. While the right hand holds the rod of the ditelungkupkan downwards. Dvarapala statues in the North, the left hand holds the rod of ditelungkupkan, while the right hand is "warned" by the middle fingers and stretched out over the index finger, while the other three fingers/Ghost in the Palm of the hand.

Atibut imposed on both of these statues are spooky and violent. Head wear ornate kind of headband adorned with ornate Early or skull-tengkora. Both ears wearing earrings in the shape of a skull which combined with strands of beads.
These earrings are called Early Kundala. Ornate chelate shoulder called Sarpa Keyura shoulder in the form of chelate is a snake. So called Bhujangga Nupura bracelet. This giant statue carrying the second Club Wajra-shaped base. Wajra is the epitome of thunderstorms that had terrible strength. Form a club from each of the giants that if carefully noted there is little difference.

The bottom of the giant statues wear cloth gloves the tool vitalnya decorated with motifs of the skull. Large skull motif decorations which dominate the attributes that indicate a Dvarapala statues are the hallmark of the art fashioned styles or idioms of the Singasari berdaskan religion Buddhist Tantra streams of Siva.
Layout of the second statue is located on either the left and right of the main street village Candirenggo stretching from East to West.A giant statue to the left (South) located above the pedestal which made around 1982 when the statue is lifted from its condition as a stomach which sank north-facing.

There is a unique story about the process of the appointment of such a statue, two tractors estimated capable of lifting it turned out to be "overwhelmed" marked by iron lever melengkungnya pengangkatnya. End of the "divine" which was accepted by one of the workers, that the new statue could be lifted when his eyes covered with black cloth and use coconut tree trunks as the three pillars of that. After the ceremonies and in accordance with the instructions of the divine, it was only the statues can be lifted and moved.
